Soak-off
Gummy Base Pearl for professional use: a gel polish base with strong adhesion and high resistance. By adhering well to and strengthening the natural nail, it helps extend the wear of the gel polish, and it is fully soak-off for gentle removal without damaging the natural nail. It can be used as a thin base layer or built up for modelling and extensions.
KEY PROPERTIES
• Durability: 21+ days
• Viscosity: thick gel consistency
• Self-levelling: strong
• Strength after curing: strong / hard
• Curing: 60 s UV/LED
• Layers: 1 thin as a base, or + 2 thick modelling layers
• Tacky (inhibition) layer: yes
• Removal: soak-off with gel remover
• System: Gummy Base CERAMIC + Dry Top / Dry Matt CERAMIC, or Gummy Base CERAMIC + Gel Polish CERAMIC + Dry Top / Dry Matt CERAMIC
• Use: professional
HOW TO APPLY
• Preparation: remove any old material and tidy the cuticles. Degrease the nails with a cleaner on a cellulose pad (including the side walls and cuticle area), lightly buff with a very fine file, then remove the dust with a fresh pad and cleaner. Do not touch the nail surface with your fingers.
• Base: apply one layer of Gummy Base (well suited to damaged nails and where flexibility is needed). Apply to four fingers, cure for 60 s in a UV/LED lamp, then the thumb (kept straight in the lamp) for 60 s. Do not touch the tacky layer.
• Colour: apply CERAMIC gel polish in one or two layers onto the tacky layer, curing each for at least 60 s, or longer for thicker layers.
• Top: finish with Dry Top or Dry Matt (no tacky layer) and cure for 60 s. Repeat on the other hand and finish with cuticle oil.
• Modelling: to build or lengthen the nail, apply one base layer followed by a modelling layer; nail forms can be used for extensions.
REMOVAL
File off the top layer, then wrap each nail in a remover foil with a pad soaked in remover (Hybrid Remover), pressing it firmly around the whole nail. Leave for at least 10–15 minutes; timing depends on layer thickness, the condition of the top layer and of the natural nail, and the use of a bonder or dehydrator. Push off the lifted material with an orange stick; if it does not come off easily, re-wrap for another 5 minutes. Lightly buff, wipe with remover and finish with cuticle oil. Removal with an e-file is faster but only for experienced technicians, as there is a risk of injury and of damaging the natural nail.
